Etsy Faves and Craves: Handmade Wooden Toys Under $20

Welcome to a new little series here at Baby Cheapskate wherein I show you some of the baby/kid items currently making me drool over at Etsy.com.

To me, it feels good to shop at Etsy and support the artists and artisans there. The items seem more special since they’re handmade. Plus, you can often get a great deal!

Today’s post features handmade wooden toys under $20. I hope you’ll share some of your Etsy faves and craves in the comments!

I love these nesting doll blanks from Swell Goods, and the fact that you can paint them to make them your own toy:

I have been lusting over these teethers from Little Alouette, too: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62182602/organic-wee-wood-owl-teething-toy-wooden

I have found so many great baby things at Etsy (for less than at name brand stores). It’s my first place to go for kids’ gifts too. Some favorites have included:

    Felt tea party food:

Great post – I love wooden toys and I LOVE etsy! Littlesaplingtoys is a favorite – I’ve given their hedgehog teething rings to a few friends as shower gifts. I also like stumppondtoys – they do a lot of classic “action” toys. Imaginationkids does lots of great nesting/puzzle toys – I think they gear theirs towards Montessori-style play and teaching. They do a hedgehog and toadstool block set that is adorable!
