7 Parent Picks: Best Slippers for Toddlers and Kids

I asked BC  parents about their favorite slippers for toddlers, preschoolers and kids. Here are 6 parent picks sure to keep those little toes toasty this winter.

Note: Despite the name, the one thing you don’t want your kiddos doing while wearing slippers is slipping. If you have hardwood floors and/or stairs, it’s best to opt for some seriously non-slip soles.

Skidders. Sock-like knit tops with some serious non-slip soles. Available in lots of styles and sizes. $13 to $20 at Target.

Acorn Cozy Slippers. Acorn makes a lot of great slippers for the whole family. I love that these have polar fleece and a non-slip bottom. $16 to $23 at REI.com

Performance Fleece slippers from Old Navy are cozy and inexpensive. The sueded outsold has dots to add texture. Sizes 5 to 18 About $10

Fleece Slippers from LLBean. These cozy slippers for toddlers hold up well according to reviewers at the LLBean site. Around $19. Ships free. LLBean carries fleece slippers for older kids, too.

Bepe Baby slippers got rave reviews from several parents. Handmade in Massachusetts since 2007. Non-slip soles. Toddlers through size 5. Around $19.

Swedish Moc slippers by Hanna Andersson have terry lining, a cotton/nylon/spandex upper and leather soles. Sizes 1 to 3.5. $18. Currently $14.40. Parents also like the similar Nowali mocs, which are a bit more.

Stride rite offers a fairly sizable range of slipper styles ranging from $20 to $24. I adore these Puppy Slippers with sound. These Monkey slippers for toddler girls are also adorable.

Are the Acorn stickers non-stick on the bottom, or non-slip?

  2. Kelly says:

Fuzzy crocs work well as slippers, too.

I really like the bear slippers from GAP. They hold up well in the wash but are not as non-slip as some of these other brands.
