Thinking of making Valentine’s Day photo cards or gifts and wondering when you’ll see the biggest discounts?

I did some research and rounded up this list of bargains we saw last year. Retailers generally repeat their sales and deals, so you should expect to see the same or similar deals again in 2013.

• Keep an eye out for free card offers. Right now you can get one from Shutterfly with code CARD4U. I believe shipping will run you .99.

• Snapfish, Shutterfly and the other big card and photo gift retailers will run Valentine’s Day sales. In addition, last year we saw site-wide coupon codes and deals–think $10 off a $10 purchase–from the major card and photo gift retailers. Shutterfly ran one starting at the end of January, for example.

• Look for photo card deals of 25% off and more starting next week and improving through the shipping cutoff date (should be somewhere between February 2nd and the 5th). Many will come with free shipping.

• We saw 70% off photo mugs from Snapfish last year. If they’re going to do it again, it should start up any day now. InkGarden had photo mugs for $2 last year.

• We should see some photo canvas deals, too. Look for 40% off from Canvas People and others.

• Look for free overnight shipping upgrades on photo gifts from Snapfish during the first week of February.

• Keep an eye on Groupon, LivingSocial and the other daily deal sites for vouchers for photo gifts and canvases.
